Help people live more independently.
Direct-support roles may include IHS, respite, adult companion, homemaking, night supervision or other 245D services, depending on current needs and qualifications.

Care can come from someone you already trust.
Minnesota CFSS gives participants meaningful choice in selecting support workers. A spouse, parent of a minor, friend, neighbor or other relative may be able to serve as a paid worker when all program and worker requirements are met.
Some roles are not allowed to also serve as the paid CFSS worker, including a paid legal guardian or the participant’s representative/responsible party. We’ll help explain the employer-side steps for 3H Care’s Agency Model.

Can a family member be paid as a CFSS worker?
In many situations, yes. Minnesota CFSS allows certain family members, including a spouse or parent of a minor, to serve as paid workers when program requirements are met. A paid legal guardian or the participant’s representative/responsible party cannot also serve as the paid CFSS worker.
Does 3H Care offer the CFSS Budget Model?
No. 3H Care provides CFSS through the Agency Model only. Under this model, 3H Care is the employer/provider agency for approved CFSS workers.
Do caregivers need a background study or training?
Requirements depend on the program and role. CFSS workers must meet applicable state requirements, including required background study and training. 245D direct-support roles also have applicable background, orientation, training and competency requirements.
Do I need previous caregiving experience?
Requirements vary by role and assignment. Some positions may require specific experience or qualifications. Contact us and we’ll explain what applies to the opportunity you’re considering.
Does 3H Care have caregiver opportunities statewide?
3H Care serves clients across Minnesota. Caregiver opportunities depend on current service needs, authorized services, location, staffing and role requirements.
Should I send my Social Security number or background documents through this form?
